OSTEOPOROSIS

Osteoporosis is a silent disease affecting the bones, commonly occurring in mature women, generally in the postmenopausal stage of life. However, it disproportionately affects women more than men, particularly those who are thin. Treatment for this disease involves specific care, and patients are advised to consume only calcium and painkillers throughout their lives. Prolonged use of these medications can lead to digestive and metabolic issues.

Allah has divided human life into four stages: childhood, youth, maturity, and old age, with corresponding temperaments that align with the phases of life. Osteoporosis, which occurs during the bone-opening phase, is characterized by a colder temperament. In women, the onset of menopause, known as Menophase, marks the beginning of this disease. In osteoporosis, the components of bones, such as oils, salts, and minerals, decrease, weakening the bones.

The affected bones become porous due to a decrease in substances like oils, salts, and minerals that strengthen the bones. Additionally, factors such as tobacco use, calcium deficiency, anemia, lack of exposure to sunlight, excessive sexual activity, diabetes, liver diseases, kidney and bladder diseases, and stomach diseases contribute to this disease, also known as compressed fracture T.B.

When this disease begins, it affects the upper part of the large bones and, in some patients, the middle part as well. However, the alignment of the second bones of the spine does not change in this disease. Nevertheless, it is a silent and dangerous ailment. Signs of its onset include a momentary increase in bone density followed by a subsequent decrease. Pain or weakness is felt in the active bones, and after some movement, relief is experienced. When the disease affects the shoulder, it causes paralysis in the arm, leading to stiffness in the shoulder joint. If the impact is in the middle part of the spine, the affected bones become porous, and the patient may not even be aware of the bone fractures.
