KIDNEY STONE

When there is a stone in the kidney, the patient experiences intense pain and tension in the lower back, often feeling as if something has lodged in the back. As the stone passes through the urinary tract and is expelled during bowel movements, the patient experiences pain in the kidney area, and often there is pain in the groin, testicles, and thighs on the affected side. The testicle on the affected side becomes numb, and the pain from the kidney stone, which is usually mild in normal conditions, becomes severe due to various physical movements. At times, the pain radiates down to the thigh, simulating the sensation of running. The patient frequently experiences the need to urinate, and the affected side's testicle is felt to ascend towards the upper side with pain. Pain is intensified during activities such as running, driving, and prolonged walking.

Additionally, when a stone causes irritation in the urinary bladder, there may be an increase in the frequency of urination, and sometimes blood is seen in the urine along with a whitish deposit, resembling egg white. The need to urinate becomes more urgent. Swelling in the groin occurs due to the irritation caused by the stone. The presence of urea and serum creatinine in the blood increases, leading to the kidney's reduced functionality. Sometimes, swelling also occurs in the feet. The kidney's structure is damaged, transforming into a shape resembling a cup, and pipes develop within it. This condition leads to an increase in blood urea and serum creatinine, causing the kidneys to cease functioning.

Hydronephrosis occurs when water accumulates in the kidneys. When the patient becomes aware of the presence of kidney stones, they often seek advice from unqualified individuals who lack proper information, but despite the lack of knowledge, these people confidently provide suggestions. The patient, influenced by these uninformed advisors, may resort to untested remedies. As a result, the condition worsens, and the patient eventually becomes a victim of kidney disease.
