When a bone fractures due to an accident, both the patient and their sympathizers are anxious about alleviating the pain and discomfort. Often, there is a misconception that the only treatment for a fractured bone is to consult a modern medical practitioner or an orthopedic doctor. However, in ancient times, when people experienced bone fractures, effective treatments were provided through the expertise of skilled physicians and surgeons. This tradition continues to this day.

Here, we discuss some aspects of the treatment of fractures to provide comprehensive information to those who may hold the mistaken belief that fracture treatment is limited to the use of traditional methods, such as applying aloe vera or other unverified remedies. It's essential to note that surgery is not the only solution for every type of fracture. Therefore, when faced with such a situation, it is crucial to seek professional and informed medical advice rather than relying on unqualified individuals, superstitions, or unverified practices.

Colles Fracture, also known as a wrist bone fracture, occurs commonly when falling and using one's hand for support or when a force is applied to the hand. It involves a fracture in the lower part of the radius bone, leading to a change in the position of the hand, resulting in a deformed appearance. This fracture can occur at any age and gender, with a higher frequency observed in individuals above 35 years of age, especially in older women.

Treatment: When a patient with this condition consults a doctor, an X-ray is taken initially. Then, a plaster cast is applied, not by the doctor but by nurses, who may lack knowledge about the patient's condition. After the prescribed duration, when the plaster is removed, the bone has usually healed, but the wrist's position remains deformed, making the patient unfit for certain activities. In such cases, when the patient complains to the doctor, the doctor may refer them to physiotherapy or suggest an operation to correct the deformity.

However, when patients with fractures or any other bone-related issues come to us, we ensure that the fracture is completely healed before repositioning any dislocated bones. Even if one or two bones of the wrist have shifted, we reposition them in their place after complete healing. We then apply a bandage and provide advice to the patient for regular check-ups to ensure complete recovery without any deformity. Patients who follow this approach achieve optimal health without any complications. Allah has blessed us with skilled professionals who are dedicated to serving His creations. If anyone has a fracture or any bone-related ailment, they can seek advice from us for expert guidance and treatment
